Parker Hannifin Filtration Group president to retire

Robert Malone, vice president of operations for the Filtration Group, will replace Popoff, effective 1 December 2014.

“Following Parker’s well established practice of planned succession, we are fortunate to have someone of Rob’s calibre to step into this role and continue to pursue our target to grow Parker’s leadership position in the global filtration market,” said Tom Williams, Parker Hannifin executive vice president and operating officer. “I am confident he will lead the group to ongoing success much as his track record and experience indicates in previous leadership positions.”

Malone has 15 years of experience in the filtration industry. He joined Parker Hannifin in 2013 as vice president of operations for the Filtration Group where he is responsible for five of the group’s divisions and is the group sponsor for four of the seven global filtration platforms. Prior to joining Parker, he was president and CEO for Purolator Filters, a joint venture between Robert Bosch GmbH and Mann+Hummel GmbH.

Paying tribute to Popoff, Williams said: “Pete has contributed so much to the success and growth of Parker’s filtration platform. He has played a lead role in the establishment of what is a truly global, market leading filtration business for Parker that has the scale to make a meaningful contribution to our growth and profitability.”
