Sauer, 45, is currently president of Grundfos Water Utility. He has spent more than 20 years in the pump business. His roles at IDEX Corp included vice president and general manager of Corken Inc and president of Pulsafeeder Engineered Products.

Sauer holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
“I am honoured to take on this new responsibility and look forward to working with the Americas team to deliver our regional objectives as defined by our Strategy 2020,” said Sauer.
He will be based at Grundfos Americas’ headquarters in Downers Grove, Illinois.
