Microdyn-Nadir turns 50

The business was founded in 1966 as Nadir Filtration, the membrane division of the former Hoechst AG. In 2003, Nadir Filtration merged with Microdyn Modulbau, whose roots go back to Akzo AG, to form Microdyn-Nadir.

Microdyn-Nadir has its headquarters and main production facility in Wiesbaden, Germany, with additional production facilities in Singapore and Xiamen, China and sales offices in Raleigh, USA and Jundiaí, Brazil. The company has 220 employees worldwide, with approximately 100 based in Wiesbaden.

“We are proud to see what we have made out of our little ‘membrane shop’. The past few years have not always been easy but they have always been marked by commitment, passion and single-mindedness,” said Walter Lamparter, CEO of Microdyn-Nadir. “We just have a super team! A team of employees who have been working at Microdyn-Nadir ever since the first day as well as a lot of new people who joined our team throughout the past years or just recently. Fact is – this team is profiting from its variety!”

Following its takeover by filter manufacturer Mann+Hummel in 2015, Microdyn-Nadir is now the headquarters of Mann+Hummel’s Water Division, with responsibility for their membrane and water activities.

To further expand its activities within the US and to support the continuing growth of the US MBR market through a partnership with Ovivo USA, Microdyn-Nadir is also building a second BIO-CEL line in the US.

“All signs are pointing towards growth. Particular thanks are due to our loyal customers and suppliers as well as to our business partners and employees! We are confident that the upcoming years will be full of exciting projects and developments. We are looking forward to the next 50 years,” added Lamparter.
