The LiqTech membranes have been tested and certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standard 61. NSF/ANSI 61 is a performance based standard which ensures that components used in water treatment systems aren’t leaching any harmful substances such as lead, chemicals, toxins etc. LiqTech’s production facility has also been successfully audited by NSF.
LiqTech’s SiC ceramic membranes can be used to replace sand filters, cartridge filters and traditional polymer/ceramic membranes.
LiqTech CEO Finn Helmer said: “This certification is of utmost importance to LiqTech as in many cases it's a pre-requisite for one's components to be used in drinking water systems. We believe it will give us the necessary endorsement to offer our membranes in the large drinking water applications marketplace.”
