IDE Technologies looks forward to Global Water Awards

IDE Technologies is looking forward to the Global Water Awards after being shortlisted in two categories.

These include Desalination Company of the Year, which IDE won in 2011. IDE’s Sorek plant, claimed to be the world’s largest and most advanced seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) desalination plant, has also been shortlisted for Desalination Plant of the Year, which recognises desalination plants commissioned in 2013 that represent the most impressive technical or ecologically sustainable achievement in the industry.

Each year, the Global Water Awards acknowledge the most important achievements in the international water industry in several categories, including Desalination Company of the Year, Desalination Plant of the Year, and Desalination Deal of the Year, which IDE won in 2013, together with its partners, for the Carlsbad Project. Completed ahead of schedule and within budget, the Sorek plant provides clean water for over 1.5 million people, comprising 20% of Israel’s municipal water demand. IDE will attend the Global Water Awards ceremony at the Global Water Summit, which will take place on April 7-8 in Paris, France.
