Hydranautics releases IMSDesign2010 software for the membrane industry

Building on the features provided in the IMSDesign2009, the IMSDesign2010 has been enhanced with a Temperature Correction Factor to provide a more accurate performance projection of seawater membranes at low temperatures.

The IMSDesign2010 from Hydranautics has the ability to correlate flux decline and fouling factors. The membrane projection programme has more stable turbo booster calculations, the ability to model an interstage turbo and interstage booster pump in series and features improved language translations.

Rich Franks, manager of Applications and Tech Support at Hydranautics said: “With the release of IMSDesign2010, Hydranautics supports the evolving needs of the membrane industry. The programme continues to be versatile and easy to use while simulating the latest options in RO system technology. The programme allows engineers to simulate different Energy Recovery Devices (ERDs) for both seawater and brackish water systems as well as the latest elements such as high area seawater elements and the new 16 inch diameter elements.”
