Flowrox has strengthened its Environmental Technologies product family with the introduction of its floating aerator for industrial and municipal wastewater.

The turbine surface aerator aerates wastewater or natural water in large and shallow basins by efficiently transferring and dispersing oxygen into the wastewater. The floating design allows fast and simple installation without costly construction.

The aerator’s features include:

  • Effective water circulation. An under-water intake pipe is optimised according to the water depth, ensuring thorough mixing of oxygen-enriched water.
  • Clogging prevention. The wide intake pipe and simple construction keep maintenance minimal.
  • There is no compressed air which eliminates the need for an expensive compressor and diffuser infrastructure.

Aerators can be delivered as a fully automated Smart Aeration System with the Flowrox Malibu digital platform, which is easy to view and use as data is presented through visual 3D model of the actual plant.  The benefits of this include customisation and reduced maintenance as automation software has an automatic impeller cleaning cycle. The system can also be equipped with additional process sensors to monitor pH, oxygen levels and other parameters.
