Final preparations underway for Aquatech China

Next month’s seventh edition of Aquatech China in Shanghai will reflect the large demands for water technology solutions in a country where the growing need for water exceeds the supply.

The Chinese water sector is facing enormous challenges and Aquatech China offers a platform for all water professionals to come together and find solutions for these challenges.

Since the exhibition was launched in 2008 Aquatech China has grown rapidly. In addition to increasing its physical size, the number of exhibitors and visitors has risen by almost 50% a year, reflecting the need for high-end water technology solutions in the exciting Chinese water sector.

The exhibition covers 75,000sq m and global visitors will be able to get up to speed with the latest trends and developments during events such as the  Water Treatment Engineering Conference for Environmental Protection in East China; the first-ever Industrial Leaders Forum China; the well-known AquaStages and a Pumps Technology Summit.  Aquatech China is co-located with FlowEx China, the pumps, valves and pipes event.

The organisers of Aquatech Global Events are convinced of the importance of promoting sustainable water consumption and have therefore made the ‘Industrial Leaders Forum’ an important part of all Aquatech exhibitions. Industrial leaders such as Yanjing Beer, H&M, Coca-Cola and Akzo Nobel will share their water stewardship processes and also participate in the panel discussion together with organisations such as WWF and China Water Risk.

Its audience will include corporate leaders, sustainability managers, heads of environment, health and safety departments, risk managers, operations and engineering VPs, as well as representatives from NGOs and water technology companies. The involvement of financial and advisory sectors in the form of HSBC and McKinsey completes the line-up and reflects the need for the industry to actively seek new strategic partnerships and solutions.

Aquatech China will take place on 25-27 June.
