Emefcy says it provides high effluent wastewater treatment solutions with 90% less energy and 50% less sludge. The company claims to be the first worldwide to provide commercial wastewater treatment solutions based on the MABR technology, with low operational cost and low capital expenditure. The Emefcy MABR is ideal for small to medium sized plants, providing quiet and odorless wastewater treatment solutions to rural villages, hotels, resorts, golf courses and municipalities, while also enabling to re-use their wastewater turning it into irrigation water. Emefcy's MABR is installed at Caesarea, Ma’ayan Zvi and Hayogev wastewater treatment plants in Israel; the next MABR project is in production phase and will be operable by Q4 2016 in the US Virgin Islands. The company's MABR is a spirally wound air sleeve submerged in a tank, to which wastewater is fed continuously and effluent is discharged by overflow. This solution saves energy, by eliminating the need to blow aeration through the implementation of Emefcy's patented passive aeration process.
