De.mem awarded A$1.7mn BOO contract in Singapore

De.mem Ltd has signed a build, own, operate (BOO) contract in Singapore with revenues of at least A$1.7 million.

The Australian-Singaporean water and wastewater treatment company will operate a containerized wastewater treatment system at the Singapore factory of Swiss flavours and fragrances manufacturer Givaudan. The De.mem system will treat the wastewater generated by the customer’s production process so that the treated wastewater can be discharged into the public sewerage system.

De.mem’s membrane technology will be a key step in the treatment process. The system will also use De.mem’s wastewater treatment chemicals. De.mem recently acquired German wastewater treatment chemicals supplier Geutec Industrie- und Abwassertechnik GmbH.

This new BOO contract is the second major project for De.mem with the same customer.
