The latest forecast in ‘Sedimentation and Centrifugation World Markets’ published by the McIlvaine Company says clarifiers will be the leading product due to their extensive use in municipal wastewater treatment and mining. Decanter and other centrifuge types will account for more than $1.3 billion in sales.
The stimulus packages in the US, China and Europe are causing a rise in sedimentation and centrifugation sales in municipal water and wastewater. The rest of 2009 should show an upward trend for power, food and pharmaceuticals while other industries remain down, leading to a flat market.
