Donaldson Foundation funds endowment for University of Minnesota engineers

The US$25 000 Donaldson endowment will be available for undergraduate students at the University of Minnesota’s Department of Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering in perpetuity beginning with the 2010–2011 academic year.

The University of Minnesota’s Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering (BBE) undergraduate program includes specializations that prepare students for careers in biofuels and renewable energy, systems for green buildings, water and air quality, and safe and healthier foods.

“The University of Minnesota’s BBE program aligns well with our Foundation’s mission of supporting education,” said Kristine Graham, president of the Donaldson Foundation. “Additionally, the course of study offered to BBE undergraduates includes engineering and filtration technologies that will promote on-going interest for graduates in companies such as Donaldson.”
