The American Filtration and Separations Society (AFS), organiser of the 13th World Filtration Congress (WFC13), has announced that Professor Harald Anlauf, from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, will give a keynote lecture at WFC13 entitled Progress in Development and Future Challenges of Rotary Vacuum and Pressure Filters.
WFC13 will take place from 20-24 April 2020 in San Diego, California. The conference, which is held once every four years, aimsto foster a forum for scientists, engineers and practitioners around the world working on filtration and separation to meet and share the latest advances and technologies.
Professor Anlauf’s lecture will take place on 21 April at 10.15 am and he will discuss the ideas that have led to improvements in filter design and operation and the extended field of application for rotary gas pressure filters. He examines the research and its positive effect on overcoming challenges, as well as looking to the future with the installation of microporous filter media on rotary gas pressure filters. Professor Anlauf will discuss how that could lead to progress in filtrate clarity, energy saving and direct filtration of difficult to filter substances.
