Weir Floway awarded quality certification to serve customers with products for drinking water and drinking water treatment processes.
Pump manufacturer, Weir Floway Inc. part of global engineering firm Weir Group, has succeeded in gaining the North American industry-wide certification known as NSF/ANSI 61 & 372.
The recognition marks an important milestone for the company, which is committed to assuring safety and quality for customers through pumping solutions. The NSF/ANSI standard was awarded following qualification of requirements for the control of potential human health effects from products that contact drinking water.
With this certification, the manufacturer of high quality vertical turbine pumps, based in Fresno (California) and part of Weir’s Flow Control Division, is highlighting the importance to customers of providing safe drinking water by reducing or eliminating the lead content in their products.
