Water company Pentair says it energy efficient pool pumps have enabled savings of 12.7 billion kilowatt hours (kWh) of electricity since 2005.
This has helped pool owners save US$1.4 billion in energy costs, the company states, conserving enough energy to power 1.3 million US homes for one year.

Pentair has been recognized by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as an ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year since 2013.
Pentair offers 80 ENERGY STAR certified pool pump models. In 2017, the company has held more than 500 pool pump demonstrations at retail outlets and consumer home shows showcasing the benefits of these pumps.
