Metso Corp spun off its Pulp, Paper and Power businesses to the new Valmet on 31 December 2013 through a demerger.
Following the demerger, Valmet is an independent public limited company, separate from Metso. Metso’s Mining and Construction and Automation businesses remain with Metso.
