Pall to supply critical filters for Westinghouse AP1000 nuclear reactors

Pall nuclear filters remove particles from reactor water at 0.1 micron, a level that exceeds all regulatory requirements. The Pall nuclear filters use a 100% incinerable design that reduces waste volume, operating and disposal costs and the environmental footprint of power plants.

Westinghouse technology is the basis for approximately one-half of the world’s operating nuclear plants, including 60% of those in the US.

“We are pleased to partner with an innovator like Westinghouse in the evolution of this promising solution to today’s energy needs,” said Greg Heilbrunn, senior vice president, global marketing, Pall Energy. “The Pall filters were designed to the exacting technical specifications of the Westinghouse AP1000 reactor and will be an integral part of the plant design.”
