The deadline for abstracts to the second European Conference on Fluid-Particle Separation (FPS2014) in France expires on March 23 – however the Lyon-based event for next October is calling for those with research presentations or posters to come forward. SF2P is organised by the French Fluid-Particle Separation Society, and expects to attract an audience of more than 150 specialists from about 15 countries to the 15-17 October conference. ‘’They would appreciate listening to speakers talking about recent results of new research, of technological innovations, or of new applications of existing products,’’ a spokesman for the gathering said. ‘’It could be an oral presentation or a poster.’’ The first conference of its kind was held in 2010 and was a success, although it was decided not to hold a second conference in 2012 so as not to compete with WFC11, the 11th World Filtration Congress. There will also be an exhibition at the venue, which is Lyon’s convention centre.
