Outotec has secured an order worth more than €10 million from Lundin Gold to deliver minerals processing technology packages, including filtration, for the greenfield Fruta Del Norte gold project in Ecuador.
The Outotec order covers process engineering as well as delivery of grinding mills, flotation, thickening and filtration technology packages.
Outotec will make the deliveries by the end of 2018.
Lundin Gold’s Fruta del Norte is one of the world’s largest undeveloped gold deposits, with reserves of around 4.8 million ounces of gold and 6.3 million ounces of silver. Fruta Del Norte is expected to produce approximately 325 000 ounces of gold per year over a 15-year mine life.
