Headquartered in Johnson City, Tennessee, Decanter Machine specialises in screen bowl, solid bowl and hyperbaric centrifuges for minerals applications primarily within the coal industry and in the processing of fertilizer mineral potash. The company has over 550 centrifuges installed in 11 countries.

Combined, the acquisitions of the Australian company Ludowici in July and now Decanter, have strengthened our minerals offerings, making a perfect basis for us to become our customers’ preferred full service provider within both fertilizer minerals and the coal industry,” said FLSmidth Group CEO Jørgen Huno Rasmussen.
Decanter Machine has 150 employees and achieved a turnover of approximately US$50 million in 2011.
The transaction is subject to the rezoning of a portion of real estate which is expected to take place in September.
