Flowrox buys Swedish filter maker NovaTek

Flowrox Oy has acquired NovaTek AB, a filtration technology company based in Södertälje, Sweden.

NovaTek filters are used in metallurgical industries to filter cadmium, cobalt, chlorine, copper and selenium. They are also suitable for other applications, such as polishing of pickling acids in the steel industry, pigment separation and washing, and the separation of gypsum in power plants.

The acquisition of NovaTek complements Flowrox’s product offering, including filter maintenance and spare parts services and a growing range of automation and accompanying services.

“Flowrox aims to grow not only its existing core, valves and pumps business, but also selected strategic growth areas. With the acquisition of NovaTek, we are seeking to grow in the solid/liquid separation,” said Simo Manninen, Flowrox’s vice president of marketing.

“Flowrox was a natural choice to become a new home for NovaTek filters,” said Catarina and Robert Dellham, owners of NovaTek. “Our customers will continue to receive the same products and services as before. After the acquisition, they will benefit from Flowrox’s wide range of other suitable products. Another advantage is Flowrox’s worldwide sales and service network with local experts close to the customers. We are convinced Flowrox is the best successor to the business that our father Lars Dellham created.”
