The world's largest cruise ship, ‘Ocean of the Seas’, is being built in Finland by the international STX Europe Cruise shipyard. The cruise ship owned by Royal Caribbean Cruise Line will make its maiden voyage this December. Around 1,300 Viledon filters and filter mounting frames will be installed on the ship for a variety of purposes including air conditioning, humidity control and in the engine room.

Managing Director of Freudenberg Filtration Technologies Kimmo Eromaki said: “The nonwoven filters produced by Freudenberg have excellent moisture resistance characteristics and a long service life as well as noise insulation properties.”

Freudenberg’s Viledon air filters have already been successfully installed on the ‘Liberty of the seas’ since 2007.
