“We have been searching for a solution which will kill germs and reduce odours at the higher air speeds our systems are capable of delivering,” said René van Herpen, NRKs Sales Engineer for HVAC and Refrigeration. “It also reduces the back pressure in comparison with standard filter types and therefore saves energy which helps us in our innovating quest to make the HVAC system on yachts more “green.”
The first dual technology project is in development, with vessel launch scheduled for the middle of 2012. Eight air handler units and nine exhaust vent ducts will be fitted with custom made AirManager equipment.
