Micronics buys dry filtration specialist United Process Control

Based in Hillsborough, New Jersey, UPC has been serving the dry filtration industry since 1986. Starting out initially as a filter bag reseller, UPC has expanded into service and repair.

“The addition of UPC significantly expands the depth and scope of our dry filtration system repair and maintenance capabilities, allowing us to better meet our aftermarket customers’ needs for engineered and technically complex mechanical repairs to their existing dry filtration systems,” said Micronics president and CEO Rick Weiler.

UPC will now join forces with Micronics subsidiary CP Environmental (CPE), a leader in dry filtration service, maintenance, replacement bags and parts.

“With this transaction we also expand our footprint on the East Coast and into the southern portion of the United States. The combination of UPC and CPE underscores our commitment to dry filtration,” added Don Eldert, president of CPE.

“This transaction is a very exciting development for our company,” said Bob Marzoli, founder of UPC. “By joining forces with CPE and becoming part of the Micronics Holdings family, we will be able to provide our customers with additional services nationwide and continue our strong growth.”

Headquartered in Chicago, CPE is a full-service maintenance, repair, engineering and design firm that offers a range of service and refurbishment capabilities to the air filtration market.

Micronics Filtration Holdings is a portfolio company of Vance Street Capital, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm.
