Unpleasant odours are an unavoidable consequence of the decomposition processes in sewage treatment plants. This makes it important to keep the resulting gases, such as hydrogen sulfide, sulfur and nitrogen oxides, away from electronic control and monitoring units. Acidic noxious gases cause corrosion, which means at best, increased maintenance costs and at worst, complete plant failure. It is also in the interests of employees and above all ensures operational safety.

In many industries, Freundenberg’s Viledon filtration solutions already ensure operational safety by removing corrosive noxious gases from the circulating air within the paper and pulp industries, petrochemicals and in data centres. The company says that applications in sewage treatment plants are equally sensitive and, in the event of a failure, just as costly, especially as the harmful gases are particularly concentrated and aggressive in this environment.

Experts from Freudenberg Filtration Technologies will be available in Hall 2.2, Stand 200 at Wasser Berlin.
