DuPont has been recognised for two environmental and process improvement projects at the Mobile manufacturing site in Alabama. DuPont's Mobile site was one of five companies recently honoured by PEP, an alliance of 172 Alabama manufacturers.
The two projects by DuPont Mobile site were about specific footprint reduction. DuPont Mobile site's first project involved changing cooling methods to eliminate 13,000 pounds of ammonia from an air conditioning compressor. DuPont Mobile site's second project involved replacing a newly purchased solvent with recycled solvent.
DuPont Mobile site is also working with PEP’s newly formed Byproducts Synergy Group to identify additional improvement opportunities.
