Camfil invests in new facility in China

Camfil Group is expanding its global operations by building a new state-of-the-art facility in Taicang city, Jiangsu province, China.

The new plant will be one of Camfil Group’s largest manufacturing facilities, with a total area of 40 467 sq m. It will meet the growing demand for air filtration solutions in the Asia Pacific region and will be fully operational in 2021.

The Taicang facility will have a research & development (R&D) centre that will be able to design custom specific products for the Asia Pacific market. A new laboratory in the R&D centre will enable filter testing to ISO 16890.

This new facility is also Camfil Group’s first integrated factory with four production lines: general ventilation filters, turbomachinery filters, molecular contamination control filters, and a new series for air pollution control.

“This new project meets high standards of safety, compliance and the increased production lines ensure safe environmentally friendly operations,” said Michel Moulin, managing director of Camfil China.
