By introducing a continuous stabilization capability, the Pall CBS system enables an uninterrupted mode of operation throughout the production cycle. This eliminates the need for batch PVPP or Silicagel dosing and the associated costs of labour, time and product waste during tank handling. The streamlined process also enhances product consistency and maximizes throughput at customizable volumes ranging from 100 hl/h to 600 hl/h. The system provides a link between Pall’s PROFi technology for continuous beer clarification and Cluster Filtration (CFS) technology for beer final filtration.

Dr Raimund Lassak, vice president marketing food & beverage, said: “Pall’s new Continuous Beer Stabilization System provides logistical advantages in upstream and downstream processes that improve production efficiency and reduce operating costs. It is designed to fit seamlessly with continuously operating membrane filtration systems and allows flexible handling of varying stabilization demands for different brands of beer.”
