Mar Cor Purification opens centre in Colorado

The Mar Cor Purification office will support the employees and products the company acquired when in 2010 it bought the US rights to manufacture and sell the water treatment products produced by medical company Gambro, used in the production of water for haemodialysis.

The new facilities feature a 1000 ft2 training centre with the capacity to train up to 14 people at a time in a classroom style setting. It has an operating ceramic water purifier (CWP) which uses reverse osmosis (RO), a distribution loop and several of the company’s WRO and WROH portable RO units. The company expects over 250 users expected to be trained this year. The seminars will cover: water system components, Association of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) standards & US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) guidance for water treatment monitoring, bacterial treatment concerns, RO theory & fundamentals, cleaning and disinfecting issues and training in servicing a water treatment system.

Mar Cor also has a training centre in its medical device manufacturing facility in Plymouth, Minnesota, and an online course to help its customers maintain their skill sets for operating water purification equipment.
