The new plant will have the capacity to provide drinking water for more than 18 000 inhabitants of Puerto Deseado. It will have an output of 3000 cubic metres per day, with potential for future expansion.
The design includes ultrafiltration membranes as pre-treatment, an ultraviolet system, a reverse osmosis system that will consist of two sets of 120 membranes, and an energy recovery system.
