Nirosoft wins Chilean seawater desalination tender

The US$3 million SWRO plant, which will be located in La Chanavayita, a small rural community in northern Chile, will produce 45 m3 of water per hour.

The system is based on Nirosoft’s new NIROBOX pre-engineered systems. The treatment process comprises of ultrafiltration (UF) pre-treatment, followed by three SWRO trains and post-treatment.

“This state-of-the-art desalination plant represents a major step forward for the community, who will now be able to rely on a consistent supply of high quality drinking water,” said Michael Tramer, Nirosoft global VP of marketing & sales.
