New engineering and manufacturing leadership at Energy Recovery

Dr Prem Krish has been appointed as Energy Recovery’s new chief technology officer (CTO) and Nocair Bensalah has been named vice president of manufacturing. Tim Dyer, the former CTO of ERI, will move to a new strategic ceramics role.

Dr Krish, a material scientist, brings over 25 years of product development experience to Energy Recovery in a career that has included roles with Sohio, British Petroleum, Carborundum, Dorr-Oliver and Avery Dennison. He holds a PhD in Materials Science with a minor in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.

As Energy Recovery's new vice president of manufacturing, Bensalah will manage the company’s production operations, focusing on process control, efficiency and cost reduction.

Nocair holds a 6 Sigma black belt certification and is experienced in lean principles. He has 15 years of experience in the automotive, power equipment manufacturing, infrastructure rehabilitation and oil and gas industries.

“ERI is beginning to experience a surge in new projects this year, and we see real growth returning to the desalination market. These executive management changes will better position the company to prosper as we grow in our core markets and successfully diversify into new markets,” said Tom Rooney, CEO of Energy Recovery.
