Marubeni invests in Australia’s Osmoflo

Founded in 1991, Osmoflo has built more than half of Australia’s desalination plants and operates around 130 of the more than 300 plants it has supplied.

“This investment by Marubeni will substantially benefit the company and give us the commercial strength to accelerate our growth by pursuing projects at a larger scale than has been possible to date,” said Osmoflo managing director Marc Fabig.

Osmoflo founders Marc and Annie Fabig will continue to be majority shareholders in the company.

Marubeni says that it will position Osmoflo as the strategic core company for desalination and industrial water treatment field in Australia and internationally and promote projects together with Osmoflo worldwide, particularly in Latin America, the Middle East and China.
