The International Desalination Association (IDA) will partner with the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) - Desalination Technology Research Institute (DTRI) for an international specialty conference on Innovation in Desalination, taking place 27–29 September 2021, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
This event will focus on the latest achievements in the science and technology of desalination and provides a forum for exchange of ideas aiming to propel innovation, creativity and disruptive advancements in this rapidly growing field.
During day one and the first half of day two, the conference will include presentations by renowned international keynote speakers. During the second half of day two, the conference will include a visit to SWCC desalination and technology demonstration facilities.
Some of the new technologies demonstrated for the first time in public during the site visit will include a full-scale underwater desalination unit operating on seawater column pressure and an energy recovery system with efficiency of over 98.5%.
The call for extended abstracts is now open. Shortlisted authors will be notified by 15 June 2021 with full papers due by 15 August 2021. Final ppt presentations are due by 10 September 2021. More information can be found here.
