GE and Osmoflo form water treatment alliance in Australia

The strategic alliance will help Australia’s Osmoflo to increase its product portfolio and GE to extend its presence in the Australian water market.

The agreement gives Osmoflo access to a broad range of GE products including cartridge filters, RO, ultrafiltration (UF) membranes and other technologies for water treatment systems, while GE will continue to focus on build-own-operate, mobile water services and solutions with technologies including membrane bioreactors and zero liquid discharge systems.

“The strategic agreement with Osmoflo is an important step in expanding our presence in the water sector, a vital concern in Australia,” explained Irshaad Hakim, region sales leader - engineered systems at GE Power & Water. “The combination of our global expertise in water and process technologies coupled with Osmoflo’s local market presence presents a powerful proposition in the market.”

“This arrangement links world-leading capabilities to meet market needs in Australia, bringing together the design and manufacturing power of GE with the local market knowledge and ongoing support of Osmoflo,” said Marc Fabig, managing director of Osmoflo. “Our manufacturing facilities will be freed up to concentrate on the larger, more complex projects,” added Fabig.
