The technology on show will include the underwater pelletising system, the PEARLO 350 EAC with liquid-heated die plate for high capacities, the ERF 350 high performance melt filter from MAAG ETTLINGER, Innovation in strand pelletising with the PRIMO Plus Flex and the re-engineered MAAG Group extrex® gear pumps in x6 class design.
The PEARLO 350 EAC underwater pelletiszing system is designed for high throughputs of 18,000 kg/h of virgin polymer production. The special cutting blade design and optimum water and material flow conditions within the cutting chamber provide a homogeneous cooling effect and an outstanding pellet quality. Another design feature of the PEARLO is the cutting blade advance system, which permits axial movement of the cutter shaft resulting in a precise blade advance as well as a regrinding of the blades during production.
MAAG ETTLINGER is presenting the ERF 350, a high performance melt filter for the filtration of heavily contaminated polymer feedstock. The filter is self-cleaning with a rotating, perforated drum, through which there is a continuous flow of melt from the outside to the inside. A scraper removes the contaminants that are held back on the surface and feeds them to the discharge system. This enables the filter to be used fully automatically and without any disruptions over long periods to replace the screen.
The PRIMO Plus Flex provides the shortest unguided length in combination with an enlarged rotor diameter which leads to more torque on one hand and superior pellet quality on the other. It also offers throughputs up to 5,000 kg/h and profitable production due to very high machine availability with wear resistant cutting tools.
