Croft Filters celebrates record sales

The Warrington-based filter manufacturer delivered record figures in nine of the 12 months between August 2013 and July 2014. December 2013 was the most successful month for Croft Filters, with sales up 150% on a year earlier. January and March 2014 also saw strong sales figures.

Croft’s growth was supported by the business’s £500 000 investment in a state-of-the-art additive manufacturing (metal 3D printing) machine, and the subsequent launch of specialist company, Croft Additive Manufacturing (CAM) in September 2013. As well as driving research and development, the new technology has helped Croft’s in-house team of experts deliver high-quality components under tight deadlines, increasing the business’s profitability.

Neil Burns, director at Croft Filters and CAM, said: “Our investment in additive manufacturing was led by changing customer needs, and has enabled us to expand our offering, driving down costs and increasing operational efficiencies for the end-user. We remain committed to developing this technology, and will work with our skilled engineers to support further growth and broaden our sector expertise for UK and overseas markets.”
