Aquionics to exhibit disinfection equipment at Singapore International Water Week

Aquionics has been selected to exhibit its new line of highly efficient UV-C LED disinfection equipment at Singapore International Water Week’s Innovation Pavilion. This special exhibit runs the duration of the show June 1-5, 2014 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre Singapore, Stand IE8.

The show’s Innovation Pavilion is specifically dedicated to highlighting companies with “cutting-edge, disruptive technologies, applications and solutions...Water-tech companies who are actively changing the future of the water space.” Aquionics was one of just 16 companies chosen to exhibit in this hall based on the uniqueness of its UV Pearl line, which replaces conventional mercury UV lamps with UV LEDs. In addition to this recognition, the company’s products have recently been awarded the Innovation Tracker Badge by BlueTech Research.

The UV Pearl line includes both disinfection and monitoring equipment. The PearlAqua uses mercury-free, low power UV-C LED disinfection to destroy microorganisms on a cellular level. The compact, high-efficiency unit is ideal for low flow applications and can be tuned to target specific pathogens. PearlSense T254, a UV transmittance monitor, helps operators ensure proper UV dosing and efficient operation. Available in a handheld battery powered model and in-process model for open channel installation or direct placement into a pressurized pipe, it is significantly smaller and more efficient than traditional systems.

Also on display will be Aquionics’ UV Connect telemetry system. The device connects to a user’s control panel and broadcasts critical operating information, such as alarms and lamp hours, to the user’s smartphone or tablet device.
