Voith has completed its acquisition of Elin Motoren GmbH, the Austrian electric motor and generator manufacturer.
Elin Motoren, which employs around 1000 people and has a turnover of about €120 million, makes electric motors and generators in small series, as well as customised solutions for industrial applications. Markets served include wind energy, plastics, tunnels and mining, oil and gas, plant construction and power plants.
Under Voith ownership, Elin Motoren will remain an independent business and will continue to operate under its established brand.
