The company says that it is a mechanical and self-cleaning filter that offers a large filter area in a small footprint, which is particularly suitable for applications in power generation.

Designed to withstand a higher differential pressure than its predecessor, Veolia says that the Hydrotech Discfilter™ HSF2200-1C is an automatic, self-cleaning filter equipped with self-cleaning nozzles that are claimed to eliminate the need for a backwash strainer. The new series includes a filter space to accommodate up to 12 discs, and the compact unit is designed for small to medium-sized projects.

The Discfilter HSF2200-1C is claimed to have a more efficient design with a maximum capacity set at 200 l/s. This represents 10-15% additional filtration capacity while occupying a 20% smaller footprint. Veolia says that it is suitable for retrofitting purposes. Additional benefits are claimed to include a lower investment cost and total ownership cost, as well as minimized maintenance and flexibility in construction materials.
