A Valmet DNA distributed control system will cover the whole power plant. The contract also covers installation, training and commissioning for the equipment.

The new plant will produce and supply steam, electricity and feed water to Neste’s refinery and Borealis’s petrochemical plant. Kilpilahti Power Plant Ltd is owned 40% by Neste, 40% by Veolia and 20% by Borealis.

Startup is scheduled for 2018.
