Hyflux Group subsidiary Hydrochem Saudi Ltd has been awarded a US$50.4 million contract by Snamprogetti Saudi Arabia Co Ltd to design, manufacture and supply a seawater reverse osmosis and sulphate removal facilities package in Khurais, Saudi Arabia.
The Khurais oil field is located approximately 150 km northeast of Riyadh.
Italy’s Saipem SpA, parent company of Snamprogetti Saudi Arabia Co Ltd, is the engineering and construction contractor for the project which will expand the daily production capacity at the Khurais Central Processing Facility by 300 000 barrels of oil from the current 1.2 million barrels.
