The tar separators feed all four phases of Sasol’s Secunda complex.
The gas liquor separation units separate gaseous, liquid and solid components from the gas liquor streams that originate in the gasification, gas cooling, rectisol and phenosolvan units.
Engineering is already underway with construction set to begin in the fourth quarter of 2012. The 24 separation units weigh between 80 and 100 tons each.
