Donaldson Triboguard DX2 filters feature a 2-in-1 design,with an outer filter element, flow from outside to inside, and an inner filter element, flow from inside to outside. The filters have up to 43 % more pleats than conventional hydraulic filters. The hydraulic fluid initially flows through an epoxy-coated steel support mesh, which protects the filter media. The Synteq XP medium is integrated in a support layer on both sides (i.e. upstream and downstream), which stabilises the medium in the system at high pressure surges.
The Synteq XPmedium is available in different pore sizes down to 4 microns at ß(x) = 1,000 (per ISO 16889) and can be used for the filtration of mineral oil based fluids, as well as native and synthetic hydraulic fluids and water-oil emulsions.
