The sale of the Hilson filter bag division to Orrell Filtration includes stock and machinery, which has been moved to Orrell Filtration’s Stalybridge site. Key staff have also been re-employed and relocated allowing Orrell Filtration to increase its capacity to produce filter sleeves, bags and multi-pocket filter elements.
Orrell Filtration chairman Roland Orrell said: “We are aiming to be the UK’s number one filter bag manufacturer and this acquisition will enable us to double our capacity allowing us to supply the end user. We are also in the fortunate position to re-employ a specialist workforce with more than 40 years experience”
