AAF International celebrates 90th anniversary

The company was founded by William Reed in Louisville, Kentucky in 1921 to manufacture the Reed Air Filter. In 1929, Reed combined with six other air filter companies to create American Air Filter Co Inc. AAF International was acquired by Japan's Daikin Industries Ltd in 2006.

“Reaching this milestone in our company’s history is a true testament to our employees, who have worked together to make this company what it is today. We are very proud of the achievements that have taken place over the last 90 years,” said Kevin Lynch, AAF International chief operating officer. “This is an opportunity to acknowledge the accomplishments of the past, while more importantly focusing on continually improving our operations, our products, and our services to ensure a long and bright future for AAF. As a member of Daikin Industries, we are poised for growth and will continue to provide the industry with innovative solutions, energy saving products, and the technical expertise that our customers have come to expect from us.”

AAF International, manufacturer of AmericanAirFilter and AAF products, has more than 2600 employees, 21 manufacturing facilities, and five R&D centres worldwide.
