The square bushing in the GeoSeal style housing from Schroeder Industries prevents the usage of competitor elements with round o-rings. Notches in the bottom of the GeoSeal bushing create a flow bypass when elements with conventional o-ring style end caps are used.
Currently, the GeoSeal element is available for the following base ported filter housings: KF30/50, KC50/KC65, MKF50, K9, 2K9, and 3K9. Availability for top ported filter housing includes the KF3, KL3, LF1, MLF1, KF8, RT and KFT. The GeoSeal is currently offered for standard K size elements only.
