Part of CLARCOR Industrial Air, Altair provides filters for the oil and gas, power generation, and ship propulsion industries. Altair supplies a full range of inlet systems and filters which protect assets from corrosion, the replacement, repairs and the protection of gas turbines and diesel generators on and off board ships, including the Royal UK Navy fleet.
The company’s inlet system designs include self-cleaning (pulse) and static inlet systems for gas turbine OEMs and it supplies a full range of filter types at all efficiency levels. It says that the performance of its air filters significantly reduces compressor contamination and the need for unplanned maintenance.
The company’s 50th anniversary was celebrated with a champagne reception at their facility in Hampshire. Local dignitaries attended the event, including the MP for East Hampshire, the deputy mayor, and local councillors.
