ItN Nanovation technology to be used in major Chinese seawater desalination project

The plant will use ItN Nanovation’s newly developed process for the pre-filtration of seawater based on ceramic flatsheet membranes.

With a total capacity of more than 400 000 m3/day, the Ying Kou plant will use more than 100 000 m2 of ceramic flatsheet membranes.

The project is divided into four equal phases with the first going into operation in 2019.

The ceramic flatsheet membranes for the first phase will be delivered in 2018.

The project will be worth more than US$20 million to ItN Nanovation over the next four years.

ItN Nanovation’s new production capacity near Shanghai will be in place in time for the delivery of this project.
