IDE’s MED solution will meet the plant’s increased capacity needs and provide high quality boiler feed water, as well as drinking water for local consumption.

The new MED units will each yield a capacity of 24 000 m3/day (6 million gallons) of highly pure processed water, increasing the plant’s total desalination capacity to 232 000 m3/day (61 million gallons per day).

“Our MED units prove that eco-awareness, operational innovation and cost savings can go hand in hand,” said Avshalom Felber, CEO of IDE Technologies. “We look forward to supplying water for one of the largest seawater desalination plants in Asia.”
